Responding to the pandemic
Alongside our core Masterclasses and extended programs, we now offer a range of options specifically designed in response to the pandemic – including exceptional online teaching.
IN THE Classroom
Our masterclasses for years 9-13 are available in the core subjects of English, Maths and Science, as well as Geography, History, French and Spanish.
We work closely with your staff to identify students’ current achievement levels and we build bespoke sessions that specifically target areas where performance improvements will lead to the greatest achievement gains in the exams.
Our expert Lead Practitioners help to consolidate missing knowledge and work with students to identify and bust misconceptions.
Masterclasses take place Saturdays mornings during term time, and then throughout half-terms and holidays as required. Saturday sessions are 3hrs over 6 weeks, whilst other sessions comprise 6/12hrs of teaching for groups of up to 20 students.
Our Summer School Recovery Curriculum for Years 8, 9, 10 is a structured program over 9 days for 25 students per year group. The program addresses the core subjects of English, Maths and Science, with the option also to include Humanities, Creative Arts and Mental Health.
We work closely with HODs to establish which of the more challenging aspects of the curriculum and exam specification need most attention, targeting gaps in knowledge and any misconceptions that may have formed, and we combine this with a focus on confidence building, resilience and wellbeing.
Two example timetables have been written, and as a company we have the capacity to deliver 10-20 Covid Summer Schools simultaneously for all 5 weeks of the summer holiday. If you would like more information about how we could deliver a timetable that fits your needs, please do not hesitate to ask for more information.
